This session will be an open forum to share ideas for cash management, especially during a COVID environment. Please bring your questions and ideas for Mike Hablewitz, partner in our assurance department with years of experience in the nonprofit and religious sector.

 

Presented by Mike Hablewitz, CPA, Partner, Wegner CPAs. Mike has experience working with a variety of non-profit organizations, included health and human services, religious organizations, trade associations and labor unions, among others. Particularly interested in internal control issues, Mike enjoys helping his clients implement stronger internal controls to safeguard their assets and has provided services that resulted in uncovering fraud. In addition, Mike enjoys helping his clients identify strategies to streamline bookkeeping, making financial statements easier to understand.

Kevin will discuss the top 10 precautions you can take right now to protect yourself and your non-profit from cyber threats. You will get no-nonsense, practical advice, and be better armed against the cybercriminals.

 

Our discussion leader will be Kevin Peterson. Kevin has over 25 years of Information Technology experience. Kevin and Peterson Technology Group specialize in managing and securing their clients’ computer networks. He is passionate about educating and helping non-profits understand and implement better security to allow them to not get overwhelmed with their technology frustrations and security concerns, so they can instead focus on their mission and purpose.

Hannah has a passion for financial stewardship and accountability and is a lead auditor and consultant for non-profits and religious organizations in Wisconsin, New York, and Washington, D.C. She is a firm believer that strong financial and administrative systems result in greater organizational success. Hannah annually attends continuing professional education seminars on accounting, auditing, compliance, and tax issues.
