990 Review for Executives

2 people in a meeting and one takes notes

Form 990 can prove for many organizations to be a daunting task to complete and review.  It might feel to Executives or Directors reviewing the form to be overwhelming to try to understand specifically what is being asked by the IRS. Our roundtable will provide an overview of Form 990 and specific areas of interest for Executives and those on the board tasked with governance decisions. We will discuss the areas of the tax return that are of most interest to outsiders looking at the return including compensation and governance and policies of the organization.  We will also discuss how when completed effectively Form 990 can be used by an organization as a marketing tool for their organization.

Our discussion leader is Amanda VanNatta, CPA, a senior manager at Wegner CPAs. Amanda has over 10 years of experience working with not-for-profit organizations on how to be and stay tax-exempt, including representing organizations in IRS audits, applying for tax-exempt status, and unrelated business income issues.
