Join presenters Angela Moore, YWCA Rock County; Elizabeth Swart, Wells Fargo Advisors; and Derek Hilst, Wegner CPAs as they share strategies for maximizing the impact of your major donations, strategies for planned giving from the local non-profit level, the basics of impactful philanthropy, as well as the tax impact of giving and receiving major donations.

Our discussion leaders will be:

Angela Moore, Executive Director of the YWCA Rock County. Previously, she was the Project Manager for Beloit LIHF (Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families). Angela was the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Badger Council which served Rock, Walworth, Green Counties as well as Northern Winnebago County in Illinois, for 16 years before taking early retirement due to a national realignment in 2009.  She raised the funds and built the Center at Big Hills Park that was dedicated in 1998.  She was a professional Girl Scout director for 26 years having served in a Council in Virginia as well as receiving a national Fellowship.

Elle Swart, CFP, Senior Vice President – Investment Officer, Wells Fargo Advisors. Elle has developed and refined a process that enables her to put all the pieces of the financial puzzle together for her clients. For over 15 years she has been crafting strategies that address each of her client’s individual needs and bringing clarity to their situation. Using a four-step Envision® planning process she designs and deploys a strategy that gives confidence that all the pieces of the puzzle are in place, clearly understood, and focused to address her client’s needs.

Derek Hilst, CPA, Senior Manager, Wegner CPAs. Derek has over twelve years’ experience providing accounting, auditing and not-for-profit advisory services to clients throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Derek annually attends continuing professional education seminars on accounting, auditing, compliance, and tax issues related to tax-exempt organizations. Derek came to Wegner CPAs in 2009 with seven years of experience in income tax preparation and business consulting.
