Best HR Practices for Non-Profits

Employment and human resources laws and related rules continue to change and multiply.  Non-profit employers of all shapes and sizes often struggle to find the time to monitor, analyze and then properly implemented required changes to policies and practices.

 

In this session, attendees will learn about the increasing challenges with classifying workers as independent contractors as opposed to employees, best steps to minimize sexual harassment in the workplace, and how to effectively manage employee turnover.

 

The Wegner Non-Profit Roundtable group meets bi-monthly from 8:30 am to 9:30 am (8:00 am Registration).

Mike Gotzler     

Our presenters will be Mike Gotzler and Kathleen McNeil from Clark & Gotzler, Attorneys at Law, LLC.

Mike has been advising and representing employers, including non-profit employers, for over 20 years.  As a former in-house attorney, Mike understands the need to provide practical advice to his clients.  Mike has attained the highest professional rating from over 30 other attorneys (“AV Preeminent”) most of them at competing law firms.

Throughout her legal career, Kathleen has represented a broad range of employers and employees, including individuals, non-profit and labor organizations and corporations. Kathleen’s prior experience representing employees and labor unions brings an invaluable, diverse perspective to Clark & Gotzler’s employer clients.
