Position Mission

The QuickBooks Consultant is responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction by providing accounting and Quickbooks consulting services to clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Quickbooks Help Desk and Quickbooks Users Group (QBUG) meetings.
  • Provide Quickbooks desktop and online clean-up, training, and troubleshooting services.
  • Implement new Quickbooks Online systems.
  • Convert clients from Quickbooks desktop or other general ledger system to Quickbooks Online.
  • Provide internal training to staff on Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with new and existing clients, including routine check-ins with clients.
  • Assume in-charge responsibilities for multiple clients.
  • Plan and execute monthly write-up accounting services engagements.
  • Prepare and review appropriate workpapers.
  • Attend prospect meetings with Managers or Partners.
  • Develop a Personal Marketing Plan.
  • Complete projects efficiently within established time budgets.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Certifications

Quickbooks ProAdvisor

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience leading to and/or including the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
  • Proficient in Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of other general ledger accounting software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and other methods of accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to clients.
  • Demonstrated effective teamwork and leadership skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in completing multiple projects within limited time budgets.

Public Contact

Extensive work interacting both by phone and face to face with clients and staff.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment with limited exposure to physical risk.    

Physical Demands

Essential demands include sitting at a desk, working on a computer for long periods of time and using a telephone to communicate with clients and staff.

Work Hours

Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Additional work hours will be expected during peak season (generally January 15th through April 15th).
