Position Mission: Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and performing other tasks as assigned.

How will you achieve this mission?

  • Facilitates the on-boarding process by creating electronic employee files, scheduling new employee orientations, preparing agenda and new hire folder for first day, and setting up the new employee’s desk.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed and returned on a timely basis.
  • Complete new-hire reporting on a timely basis.
  • Schedule benefit orientations.
  • Ensure benefits paperwork is completed and returned on a timely basis; process enrollments with various insurance companies.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment process.
  • Assist recruiting manager with various recruitment activities.
  • Plan Firm events, such as the annual holiday party, tax season catering and activities, end of tax season party and other miscellaneous events throughout the year.
  • Complete and respond to requests for employment verifications.
  • Serve as back-up payroll processor.
  • Enter work-life balance information into practice management system.
  • Update and maintain employee information in HRIS.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and enter them into Bill.com on a monthly basis.
  • Schedule meetings, conference calls and other events as needed.
  • Coordinate annual United Way campaign.
  • Administer Nectar program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do you need to achieve this mission?

  • Minimum of two years of related experience.
  • 2 year degree required; 4 year degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Team-player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in completing multiple projects within strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism a must!
