David is a manager in Wegner CPA's Assurance Department. He joined the firm in 1996 working primarily on audits of employee benefit plans and non-profits. David has over fourteen years of experience performing audits of all kinds. David has a passion for researching employee benefit plan issues and enjoys working to improve the quality of reporting and auditing in this area.

David's career in public accounting has given him extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits and audits of non-profit, governmental, and commercial organizations as well as tax issues facing non-profit organizations. He is one of the firm's technical reviewers and is a leader in the quality control function. David is the reviewer for all non-profit tax returns as well as audits of employee benefit plans and federal single audits. He is also the leader in working with the firm's outside peer review. This experience has given him a very deep background in researching and implementing the correct answer to auditing, tax and reporting issues.

David received his Bachelor of Science, Accountancy Major, from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA).
