Bruce is a partner in Wegner CPA's Assurance Department. He joined the firm in 1988 working primarily on audits of employee benefit plans, non-profits, and commercial businesses. Bruce has over twenty-two years experience performing audits of all kinds, and consulting on taxation of non-profits and commercial businesses. Bruce enjoys overseeing the employee benefit plan area and discussing with clients ways to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities for plan operation and compliance.

Bruce's career in public accounting has given him extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits and audits and taxation of commercial and non-profit organizations. He earned his Certified Financial Planner designation to assist him in understanding the investments, benefits, and structure of employee benefit plans. Bruce is a nationally recognized expert in the accounting and taxation of cooperatives with clients from coast to coast. His other specialties include non-profit and private foundation taxation, foreign aid organizations, and environmental groups. Bruce has served as a director of several local and regional non-profit and cooperative organizations. He is currently a director on the Board of the City of Madison Water Utility.

Bruce received his Bachelor of Arts, Botany Major, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He received his Master of Business Administration, Accounting Major, from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP?). Bruce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA), the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC), the Steering Committee of the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA) Cooperative Finance & Tax Council, and the City of Madison Water Utility Board.
