Mike is a senior accountant in Wegner CPA's Assurance Department. He joined the firm in November 2009 working primarily on audits of employee benefit plans. Mike has three years of experience auditing various types of employee benefit plans, plus small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. Mike enjoys working with clients to solve today's complex issues facing many types of employee benefit plans.

Mike's career in public accounting has given him extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits and audits of commercial and not-for-profit organizations including large universities, manufacturers, biotech organizations and government contractors. Prior to working in public accounting he was a fund manager in the United States Navy with responsibility for program budgeting, inventory accounting, and periodic audits. This experience has given him a very deep background in compliance with government rules and with the maintenance of internal control systems.

Mike received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Major, from the University of Phoenix - San Diego.
