Wisconsin Unemployment to go up
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has announced that the taxable wage base for unemployment tax will increase from $12,000 to $13,000 in the 2011 tax year. Contribution rates for experienced employers will continue to be determined under Schedule A. Rates range from 0.27% to 9.8%. The new employer rate for non-construction employers with payroll under $500,000 will remain at 3.6% in 2011. The new employer rate for payroll of $500,000 or more will remain at 4.1%. All new construction employers will continue to pay 6.6% in 2011.
