Senior Accountant - Tax & Business Services Department - Madison

We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Tax and Business Services department in our Madison office.

Under the direction of a Supervisor the Senior Accountant will assist in providing review, compilation, and various accounting and tax services to clientele. This position actively participates in the monitoring, mentoring and reviewing of Staff Accountants’ work.

Duties will include performing in-depth client needs analysis for clientele and creating proposals and fee schedules accordingly. This individual will be expected to calculate, format and compile monthly, quarterly and yearly compilations and communicate the results in a manner that clients comprehend. He/she will assume responsibility as the “in-charge” on compilations as required; monitor, mentor and review staff accountants’ work; reconcile general ledger accounts and financial statements for clients, as needed; and assume responsibility for scheduling and maintenance of clientele deadlines and related work. The Senior Accountant may also participate in QuickBooks/Peachtree technical support services.
