Pete Oettinger, a certified public accountant since 1992, joined Wegner LLP in 1995 and became a partner in 2003.

Pete is a partner in our Tax and Business Services department. He has obtained expertise in serving family- owned businesses in tax return planning/preparation, financial statement engagements and management advisory services, including:

• Construction and real estate services
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Multi-state tax considerations
• Accounting systems consulting
• Estate planning
• Business succession

Pete is also responsible for presenting tax update seminars to the public, preparing in-house education to Wegner LLP staff, and managing corporate income tax return preparation.

He is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as treasurer of the Middleton Jaycee’s and Safe Harbor of Dane County, and has managed the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site for Wegner LLP.

In 1992, Pete received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from Marquette University.
