 Greg
LaFreniere has been active in Certified Public Accounting
since 1976, and joined Wegner LLP, CPAs and Consultants in
1986 as a partner. He serves clients in diverse industries
and has developed specialties in taxation and business valuations.
He has significant expertise in the following areas:
- Tax planning and compliance for individuals and closely
held businesses
- Representation before state and federal tax authorities,
including appeals
- Business valuations for estate/gift tax purposes, divorce,
buy/sell agreements, and litigation
- Consultant and expert witness in criminal tax cases
Greg assists individuals with personal financial and retirement
planning and estate planning. He is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Wisconsin Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, Madison Estate Council
and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Greg received his degree in Accounting/Finance from Northern
Michigan University in 1971. He was a criminal investigator
with the Internal Revenue Service for five years before
he entered public accounting.
